Out to Lunch - Downtown DSM

Out to Lunch is a public event that is open to the public on Wednesdays throughout the summer from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Out to lunch is designed to create a fun and unique opportunity for Downtown Des Moines employees, residents, and visitors to socialize with others in a vibrant, outdoor Downtown setting with local food trucks and live music.

The 2025 Out to Lunch location schedule is as follows:
May 21: Principal, High Street from Seventh – Ninth
May 28: City of Des Moines Lot.- 401 Robert D. Ray Dr.
June 4: Federal Home Loan Bank Parking Lot
June 11: Tippie College of Business, University of Iowa, 12th Street from Grand to Locust
June 18: The Ruan Center, Locust Street from Sixth – Seventh Street
June 26: Cowles Commons, 313 Walnut St.
