The food truck prepares fresh meals using produce and fish from the Schoen Greenhouse — maintained and harvested by Central Iowa Shelter and Services staff and job trainees. This partnership is an extension of existing programming that provides fresh, nutritious food for the community while also creating a self-sufficient revenue stream for the shelter.
Every meal purchased from the Mulberry Farm & Food Truck also provides a free meal to food-insecure Iowans. The truck is expected to become fully operational in May and will feature a rotating menu to choose from.

We provide liege waffles on a stick, out of a converted 1980 horse trailer to food trailer. A dough-based waffle that is buttery, chewy, soft, and sweet. They are thicker and contain little clumps of sugar known as pearl sugar. Once heated up, they are caramelized on the outside and soft inside.
